Oprah Winfrey is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist. Winfrey in the late 1970s as a radio host, and soon transitioned to television.
In 1983, she became the host of a local talk show in Chicago called “AM Chicago,” which was later renamed “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” The show became a huge success, and Winfrey became one of the most influential and popular talk show hosts in the country.
Oprah Winfrey graduated from East Nashville High School in 1971. She then attended Tennessee State University on a full scholarship, where she studied communication. However, she dropped out of college in her sophomore year to pursue a career in media. Despite not completing her degree, she has received numerous honorary degrees from various universities, including Harvard and Duke.
