Greg Grunberg Biography

Greg Grunberg (Gregory Phillip) is an American actor, best known for his roles in various popular TV series such as “Alias,” “Felicity,” and “Heroes.”

Grunberg grew up in Los Angeles and attended University High School. He went on to study acting at the University of Southern California. In the mid-1990s, he began his career in Hollywood, landing small roles in films such as “The Pallbearer” and “BASEketball.”

In 1998, Grunberg landed his breakthrough role on the popular television series “Felicity.” He played the character Sean Blumberg, a resident advisor in the freshman dorm. He continued to gain recognition for his work in television, with roles in shows such as “Alias” and “Lost.”

He has oftenly organized charity efforts to raise funds for the Pediatric Epilepsy Project in Los Angeles. The charity efforts have included auction of guitars hand painted by celebrities such as Donald Trump, Pink and Gruenberg’s Alias co-stars Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan.

It has also included concerts by the Band From TV that includes Grunberg and Hugh Laurie and an online auction of cartoons drawn of his Heroes costars.

He served as the chair of the first National Walk for Epilepsy, presented by the Epilepsy Foundation in March 2007.

For the 2004 series Lost, Abrams cast him in a brief role as the pilot. He then returned for the first season finale but his scenes cut for time and instead included on the season 1 DVD set.
