Will Kunkel Biography
Will Kunkel is an American sports anchor and host of Panthers pre/postgame show on FOX 46 News.
He is so excited to be in Charlotte because his brother just moved to the Queen City as well and his grandparents live in Wilmington, NC. He attended St. Lawrence University and earned his Master’s degree at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern.
Kunkel was a sports director at NBC 24 in Toledo, Ohio before joining KWCH in January 2015.
Kunkel was the lead sports anchor at KWCH Wichita, Kan for 3.5 years. He has covered basketball in the state of Kansas. The highlight was the ride with the Royals when they won the World Series. Kunkel is hoping to bring some of that luck to the Panthers and Hornets.
