Justin Welby is a prominent religious leader who serves as the current Archbishop of Canterbury in the Church of England.
Welby was educated at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a degree in history and law. After completing his studies. He worked in the oil industry for several years, eventually becoming an executive in a large British oil company.
In the early 1990s, Welby experienced a spiritual awakening. And decided to leave the oil industry to pursue a career in the Church. He studied theology at St John’s College, Durham, and was ordained a deacon in 1992.
