The Chicago Fire Football Club (FC) is a professional soccer team based in Chicago, Illinois. The team competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of American soccer. The Fire were founded in 1997 and are one of the ten charter members of MLS.

The Fire play their home games at Soldier Field, which is also home to the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). They have won one MLS Cup championship (1998), two Supporters’ Shields (2003, 2006), and one U.S. Open Cup (2000).

The current head coach of the Fire is Ezra Hendrickson. The Fire’s current captain is Rafael Czichos.
