John Cash Biography
John Cash also known as johnny cash was an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and actor. Many consider him as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, known for his unique bass-baritone voice, rebellious image, and blending of country, rock and roll, and gospel music.He was born in Kingsland, Arkansas, to poor cotton farmers, and grew up during the Great Depression.
Upon graduating high school, Cash enlisted in the United States Air Force and the military stationed him in Germany. It was during this time that he formed his first band, the Landsberg Barbarians. After his service ended, he moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he began recording music with Sun Records. His first hit song, “Cry! Cry! They released Cash’s debut single, “Cry! Cry! Cry!”, in 1955, and Cash continued to release successful singles and albums throughout the 1950s and 1960s.
