Harry Belafonte is a musician, actor, singer, and activist. For his contributions to American music, notably to the calypso and folk genres, Belafonte is well-known. He is also known for his humanitarian work and engagement in the Civil Rights Movement.
Due to financial issues, Harry Belafonte’s education was halted. He participated actively in the drama club and chorus at George Washington High School in New York City. To assist his mother financially, he left school at the age of 17, nevertheless. Belafonte didn’t finish high school, but he eventually sought further education through a variety of initiatives and opportunities.
