New twitter logo Rebrand
Elon Musk announced on Sunday, July 23, 2023 that Twitter’s iconic blue bird logo would be replaced by an “X”. He tweeted that the idea of changing the logo to “X.” Is “To embody the imperfections in us all that make us unique.” He also posted a picture of a stylized X against a black outer space-themed background.
Musk had said the change would happen Monday. But he tweeted hours later that the “Interim X logo goes live later today.”
The new logo was met with mixed reactions from Twitter users. Some users praised the change, saying that it was a bold and modern update. Others criticized the change, saying that it was too simplistic and that it lost the charm of the original blue bird logo.
It is unclear whether the X logo will be permanent. Musk has said that he is open to feedback from users, and he may change the logo again if there is enough demand.
